Priverno (LT) – Abbey Wines 2026

From June 12 to 14, the fifth edition of Vini d’Abbazia brings together great protagonists of international oenology in Fossanova.
Three days of masterclasses, tastings and meetings dedicated to wine, culture and territories will enliven Fossanova Abbey with some of the most authoritative voices on the wine scene, including Riccardo Cotarella, Roberto Cipresso and Vincenzo Mercurio. Among the most anticipated events is the masterclass dedicated to the wines of the Cremisan Monastery, in Palestine a few kilometers from Jerusalem, where viticulture becomes an instrument of dialogue and cooperation between different cultures and religions.
After the success of the 2025 edition with more than 4,000 visitors, Vini d’Abbazia returns June 12-14, 2026 in Fossanova Abbey for its fifth edition. An event of Regione Lazio, Arsial, Chamber of Commerce Frosinone Latina and Azienda Speciale Informare.
For three days, the monastic complex, among the most significant examples of Gothic-Cistercian architecture in Italy, built between the 12th and 13th centuries on the remains of an ancient Benedictine monastery, will host more than 30 wineries from Italian and international abbeys, as well as lay producers linked to monastic places and consortiums, in a journey that interweaves spirituality, culture and wine. Tasting booths will enliven the Medieval Cloister along with the food & wine village dedicated to the area’s food and wine excellence, while the Abbey Refectory will host master classes and tastings led by some of the most authoritative voices on the wine scene. The Infirmary of the Borgo di Fossanova, on the other hand, will be the heart of seminars dedicated to native grape varieties, wine tourism and scientific research on the benefits of extra-virgin olive oil.
Abbey wines: a growing and consolidating format
Created to enhance the wine heritage guarded over the centuries by abbeys and monastic communities, Vini d’Abbazia has established itself over the years as one of the most original formats on the Italian food and wine scene, progressively expanding its reach through events, conferences and new territorial collaborations. The project returns to the Borgo di Fossanova with the national edition, confirming the central role of the Lazio event within an increasingly structured and recognizable itinerary.
Protagonists of the event will be some of the most important wineries linked to Italian and international monasteries and abbeys, flanked by lay producers, consortia and territories united by a strong cultural and agricultural identity. The 2026 edition also confirms the event’s desire to broaden the dialogue between wine, research, tourism and sustainability, strengthening the role of Vini d’Abbazia as a platform for discussion of the issues that are redefining the contemporary wine scene.
