Scollinando in vendemmia, a day in the vineyards of Historic Buttafuoco among colors, flavors, scents and glasses of wine.

September brings with it the most eagerly awaited time of the year for wine lovers: the grape harvest, and this year Scollinando in vendemmia, the signature event of the Historic Buttafuoco Club, also returns , opening the doors of its members’ cellars to visitors with a day of tastings, walks among the rows and traditional dishes, to discover the powerful red wine of Oltrepò Pavese – Historic Buttafuoco – a wine that is born only here and that tells, without filters, the strength and history of these hills.

The appointment on Sunday, September 14, is set for 10 a.m. at the Historic Buttafuoco House in Canneto Pavese. I participants will be greeted with a welcome coffee and will be divided into groups of about 15 people, each assigned to a participating winery.

Once you reach the winery by your own means, the day begins with a visit to the vineyard, a pleasant walk through the colors and scents of autumn. It then continues with a guided tasting of the host winery’s wines paired with local bread, salami, cooked salami and parmesan cheese.

The lunch will feature a mouth-watering and hearty menu with traditional seasonal products from the area: risotto with salami pasta nuanced with Buttafuoco and roasted coppa with grape sauce, paired with a tasting of Historic Buttafuoco Cru.

Upon returning in the afternoon to the House of Historic Buttafuoco, we end on a sweet note with Buttafuoco Chinato, Chocolate and Judas Blood.

“Scollinando is now an eagerly awaited event for young people and families, from Pavia and beyond,” explains Historical Buttafuoco Club President Massimo Piovani. It is a fun and informal opportunity to get to know our places and our products, spending a day in company between the rows and inside the cellars, guided by us producers and our desire to transmit the passion and commitment that animate us.”

Tastings combined with the Scollinando experience cost €50. Participants also receive a 10 percent discount voucher to use at the Historic Buttafuoco Club Wine Shop.
