50 Shades of Pinot Noir 2026: From October 9 to 11, the festival dedicated to Pinot Noir returns to Voghera, featuring tastings, culture, art, and entertainment
Pinot Noir Takes Center Stage in Voghera
From October 9 to 11, 2026, Voghera will host the seventh edition of “50 Shades of Pinot Noir,” an event dedicated to one of the most widespread and recognizable grape varieties on the international wine scene.
The highlight of the event will be the tastings scheduled to take place in the Ridotto Halls of the Valentino Garavani Theater, where, on Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., visitors will have the opportunity to meet the winemakers and sample various interpretations of Pinot Noir.
The selection includes wineriesfrom the Oltrepò Pavese region, Italian producers from various regions, and international wineries from France, Austria, Slovenia, South Africa, the United States, and New Zealand.
A route winding through the center of Voghera
The event will also take place in the city center, with exhibitions dedicated to art, culture, and design along Via Emilia and under the arcades of Piazza Duomo. The program will feature Italian and international guests, as well as side events that connect wine to other areas of culture and creativity.
The program will kick off on Friday, October 9, with the opening event “To the Tunes of Pinot Noir” at the Caffè del Teatro, accompanied by a selection of cocktails made with Pinot Noir-based ingredients.
Tastings and Cultural Events
On Saturday, October 10, in addition to the main tastings, several events are scheduled. The Salotto del Club Amici del Sigaro Toscano, located at Cortiletto Italia, will host three tasting sessions dedicated to Metodo Classico sparkling wines and Pinot Nero from Oltrepò Pavese.
The Valentino Garavani Theater will also host the awards ceremony for the second edition of the literary contest “50 Literary Shades of Pinot Noir and More,” while the day will conclude with the show “Pinot Noir on Stage, ” scheduled from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
On Sunday, October 11, the tastings and exhibitions in the city center will continue, along with a talk, book presentation, and book signing at the bookstore on Via Emilia.
A festival that brings the whole city together
The concept behind “50 Shades of Pinot Noir” is not limited to the tasting area, but extends to various locations throughout downtown Voghera, bringing together wine, gastronomy, art, design, and culture.
The event is designed as an opportunity to learn about Pinot Noir. The selection begins withthe Oltrepò Pavese region—an area with particularly strong ties to this grape variety—and expands to include Italian and international producers.
