100% Nebbiolo, from the top of the Pajé amphitheater. It matures about 9 years between wood and bottle. It is bright red, looking like it has just been bottled. The nose is enhanced with notes of incense and wild strawberries, macerated violets and roses but also noble leather. An impressive, intense, enveloping olfactory ensemble. The mouth is austere and powerful, but relegates any excess to pure instrumental contour to an uncommon expressive force. In this “classic” vintage it borders on perfection, combining the usual, incredible sensory variance with unique elegance and balance.
