IGM renews its commitment alongside the Progetto Itaca with the seventh edition of the “Il Bel Viaggio” charity dinner. The funds raised from the charity auction, thanks to the lots raffled off by Istituto Grandi Marchi companies, will guarantee the operation of Club Itaca Milano, this year reaching its 20th anniversary.
An evening of sharing, solidarity and social commitment was staged at Pirelli HangarBicocca in Milan. There was great participation for the seventh edition of the charity dinner “Il Bel Viaggio,” the annual charity event of the Itaca Project in support of people affected by mental health disorders. Organized in collaboration with the Paolo and Giuliano Clerici Foundation, this year’s event again saw Istituto Grandi Marchi in the front row, which, with its participation, renewed its great support for this cause. The 18 great Italian wine families, ambassadors of tricolor wine excellence, actively contributed by donating a selection of their great wines and numerous winery experiences to the charity auction.
The word from Piero Mastroberardino
“Participating once again in the charity dinner,” stressed Piero Mastroberardino, IGM President, “is for us an honor and a great pleasure, strongly appreciating the activities carried out by the foundation. I still want to thank Alessandro Dubini, President of Progetto Itaca Milano for the welcome given to us. Contributing to fundraising for us means actively investing in the inclusion and autonomy of those who need help. Initiatives like this show how important it is to dedicate ourselves to social engagement, and that is why we are proud to continue to make a contribution to this journey.”
More than 400 benefactors united together for a common cause: the funds raised were entirely donated to support Club Itaca, the center for the development of social-work autonomy for people conditioned by mental distress that reached 20 years of activity this year in Milan. While, the other part of the funds went to JOB Stations, a smart working network that fosters the employment inclusion of people with mental disabilities. This is another pivotal initiative of the Itaca Project, established in 2012, in collaboration with Fondazione Italiana Accenture ETS, now active in as many as 7 Italian cities with the aim of stemming social exclusion and encouraging the reintegration of the weakest into the world of work.
The Beautiful Journey
The evening of “Il Bel Viaggio” had as its most anticipated moment the charity auction held by auctioneer Fabio Bertolo of the Finarte auction house, with the 13 lots donated by the 18 Istituto Grandi Marchi companies as the centerpiece. The great labels of IGM wineries were also the protagonists of the wine pairing of the dinner placée curated by T’a Milano that was staged in the splendid museum spaces of Pirelli HangarBicocca.
