Rome – Italy’s Pinot Noir and Sauvignon

Italy’s Pinot Noir and Sauvignon, two international grape varieties in the interpretation of producers from the Boot of Italy at the center of Vinodabere’s event in Rome Feb. 7 and 8

The news outlet Vinodabere has long been engaged in focuses concerning territories (see for example Guide to the Best Wines of Sardinia, Guide to the BestWinesof Valtellina, Guide to the Best Wines of Upper Piedmont, Guide to the Best Wines of Basilicata) and grape varieties, such as precisely Pinot Noir (Guide to the Best Pinot Noirs of Italy) and Sauvignon(Guide to the Best Sauvignons of Italy 2025, the 2026 edition will be released soon).

Italy of Pinot Noir and Sauvignon will be an opportunity to take a little virtual tour of some of the Italian areas where these varieties are produced.

The event will take place on February 7 and 8, 2026 Rome Hotel Belstay, via Bogliasco 27

Saturday, February 7 morning
  • 10:30 a.m.: Masterclass “The Sauvignon Tour of Italy” led by journalist and Vinodabere editor Maurizio Valeriani, wine and food critics and Vinodabere authors Salvatore Del Vasto and Pino Perrone. For purchase: link.
  • Noon: Masterclass “The Pinot Noir Tour of Italy” led by journalist and Vinodabere editor Maurizio Valeriani and Vinodabere food and wine critics and authors Pino Perrone and Gianni Travaglini. For purchase: link.
Saturday, Feb. 7 afternoon (2 to 4 p.m.)
