Bersi Serlini, the time of Franciacorta

Bersi Serlini Franciacorta. degustazione DoctorWine

Among the hills of Provaglio d’Iseo, Bersi Serlini celebrates 140 years of history by confirming a precise vision of Franciacorta: territorial identity, stylistic elegance and hospitality. A winery that combines family memory and contemporary sensibility through vertical, crisp and increasingly recognizable wines.

There are wineries that tell the story of wine through technique, and others that manage to narrate it through the spaces, details and words they choose to define themselves. Bersi Serlini belongs to this second category: a historical reality of Franciacorta, in Provaglio d’Iseo, established in 1886, which has been able to traverse time by holding together family heritage, manufacturing precision and a clear, contemporary identity.

The cellar between memory and contemporaneity

Bersi Serlini, entry
The year 2026 marks an important milestone: the first, significant,
140 years of history. Yet what is striking is not a sense of static monumentality. On the contrary, Bersi Serlini appears as a place in motion, where the past is not relic, but sap to project itself powerfully into the contemporary world. It can already be perceived in the rooms: ancient walls coexisting with bright, glass-fronted rooms, spaces dedicated to hospitality, and architectural interventions balanced between the raw and the elegant, between memory and function. The underground cellar translates the breath of the Franciacorta terrain, while the surrounding nature – with Mount Guglielmo in the foreground – acts as a living backdrop: everything contributes to a precise vision, in which hospitality and production are part of the same story.

Solo Uva and Territorial Identity

In Bersi Serlini’s wine, the key word is. territoriality: from the choice of the Solo Uva method (using grape must for both the draught and the dosage, avoiding exogenous sugars), to the separate vinification of individual plots, to the predominant use of steel. The goal is to return the nuances of the terroir, enhance the identity of the plots and favor a modern verticality and drinkability, without easy roundness but with a taut pace that becomes the leitmotif of every sip, along with a strong vocation for hospitality.

The tastings: elegance, tension and personality

Several tastings were made at the winery, from a dynamic and vertical rosé, to the surprising 2007 reserve that elegantly expresses the depth of its years, to the new and curious Pinotèn: a “non Satèn,” or rather a Satèn by atmosphere but not by grape variety, which-as the name suggests-is a 100% Pinot Noir.
