100% Sangiovese. Fiery, clear ruby. The nose opens with violet and raspberry followed by obvious spice. It is a sweeter nose in which notes of dried fruit and powdered sugar shine through but also blood and iron traces, then underbrush. In the mouth the balance is played more muted, slightly less elegant tannin and acidity present but more muted.
