Alta Langa Rome

June 16

Alta Langa Rome: on Monday, June 16, the High Piedmontese Bubbles in the Capital, at Spazio Field in Palazzo Brancaccio, for a great B2B tasting

Everything is ready in the capital for Alta Langa Roma, the B2B event dedicated to Piedmont’s High Bubbles.

More than 30 producers associated with the Consortium will present to the public a selection of their cuvées of classic method currently on the market, in all more than 70 labels divided between whites, rosés and reserves, in the brut and pas dosé types.

The Consortium offers producers the opportunity to meet operators, experts and enthusiasts in Rome with the desire to consolidate a presence and create a fixed and recurring appointment. A unique opportunity to present the vintages currently on the market of Alta Langa DOCG (metodo classico tutto millesimato) and to make the unique and extraordinary territory of origin better and better known.

After the success of the first edition, Alta Langa DOCG returns to Rome and brings with it its bubbles of character, an authentic expression of the high hillsides of Piedmont close to the Ligurian Apennines.

The second edition confirms the Capital’s growing interest in this classic method, which is increasingly present on the wine lists of haute cuisine and among the preferences of an attentive and demanding public.

Invited masterclasses conducted by Marco Reitano

Invitation-only master classes conducted by Marco Reitano, sommelier at La Pergola *** restaurant (Rome Cavalieri – The Waldorf Astoria), will be held throughout the day.

Alta Langa DOCG meets Rome in ten leading venues

These days, ten renowned Roman eateries are the protagonists of a photo shoot that brings the allure of Alta Langa DOCG to the Eternal City. Alta Langa DOCG met the Roman restaurant scene to tell many stories of passion and craftsmanship, from the dining room to the heart of the kitchens, in a photographic journey that celebrates the flavors and some of the protagonists of the Roman gastronomic scene. The shots are posted on the Consortium’s social channels highlighting, through the face of the Roman haute cuisine, the contemporary spirit of Alte Bollicine Piemontesi. The venues involved: Mirabelle, Follie del Villa Agrippina at Gran Meliá Hotel, L’Arcangelo, Armando al Pantheon, Sushisen, Romané by Stefano Callegari, Baccano, Idylio by Apreda of The Pantheon Iconic Rome Hotel, Ai Piani, Osteria Chiari.

Debuts “WAVES”: an installation symbolizing the territory

During the day, “ONDE” will make its official debut: a new project of the Alta Langa Consortium, designed to tell the story of the territory of origin in an innovative way. The installation faithfully reproduces the contour lines of the Alta Langa DOCG area through a composition of thin layers of wood overlaid and painted in the distinctive yellow-gold shade. Characterized by a modern and recognizable design, the model is intended to become an iconic element of the Consortium’s events, offering geographical and narrative information about the extraordinary characteristics of the area of origin. A sea of hills that bears the memory of an ancient sea basin and that today houses the vineyards for the production of the Piedmontese metodo classico par excellence.

The cocktail: “Alta Langa Passion”

The event will feature a special cocktail created for the occasion by Giacomo Colamarino, bar manager of Ai Piani Sottobanco: it is called Alta Langa Passion and combines Alta Langa DOCG with passion fruit syrup, lime juice, vodka, as well as a lime garnish.

“Alta Langa DOCG proves to be an Italian excellence capable of surprising even in mixing: with its elegant character and structure, it was the perfect inspiration to create an exclusive cocktail, designed to celebrate the meeting between Piedmont and Rome,” comments Colamarino.
