Florence – Vitae Tasting Event

Vitae in deguSTAZIONE, a well-established event on the AIS calendar, transforms the Guide’s presentation into a true celebration of Italian wine

Following last year’s extraordinary turnout—which saw Florence’s Stazione Leopolda host a massive crowd of members, enthusiasts, professionals, and curious visitors— the 2027 Vitae Guide returns on November 14, 2026, with the “Vitae in deguSTAZIONE” presentation. It’s an opportunity to taste wines, meet industry leaders, share experiences, and discover stories and regions through the glass.

The 2027 edition continues the evolutionary journey begun with Vitae 2026, showcasing Italian winemaking excellence through four selections of 100 wines each: 100 Great Wines, 100 Regional Wines, 100 Breakout Wines, and 100 Value Wines. At the Leopolda as well, these four categories will take center stage, shaping a tasting journey organized around their respective thematic areas.

The Theme of the Guida Vitae 2027

“The Concept of the Vintage: Man and Nature; Cyclicality and Synergy” will accompany the story of a world in which every harvest is the result of a unique dialogue between nature, the land, and human labor.

The day will also feature a session dedicated to the foreign press, providing an opportunity to explore the new edition and Italy’s wine heritage as chronicled by *Vitae*. The Florence presentation will be preceded by a major international event: on November 3, at the prestigious Pall Mall 67 venue in London, where the English-language edition of the Guide’s selections will be unveiled.

La Leopolda will also serve as a space for socializing and fellowship. The stories shared by the producers at the tasting tables will be an integral part of the experience, which will be complemented by a social room for videos and interviews, a themed selfie room, and areas dedicated to bars and dining.

The program

• 10:30 a.m.: Opening to the public with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Remarks by AIS National President Sandro Camilli and the attending officials. Opening of the tasting stations, organized by theme
• 11:00 a.m. (Main Stage): “Best Sommelier of Italy” Trentodoc Award Competition.
• 12:15 p.m. (Main Stage): Presentation of the Bonaventura Maschio Award, the Repower Award, and the Surgiva Award. Announcement of the winner of the “Best Sommelier in Italy” Trentodoc Award
• Starting at 2:30 p.m.: Presentation of the Vitae Guide
• 7:30 PM: End of the event
