Pathways and companies

4 routes in the heart of Chianti Classico to discover 15 wineries:

  1. Chapel: Renzo Marinai, Vallone di Cecione, Vignole and Castello dei Rampolla
  2. The valleys: Monte Bernardi, Grace Mill and Tenuta degli Dei
  3. Two slopes: Felciano, Le Fonti, Casaloste
  4. San Martino: Panzanello, Tenute Casenuove, Cafaggio, Fattoria di Rignana and Vecchie Terre di Montefili
Italy’s first wine biodistrict

The Union of Winegrowers of Panzano includes 23 companies of passionate producers who for 30 years have been protecting an area that represents Italy’s first biodistrict of viticulture: in fact, 90 percent of Panzano in Chianti’s vineyards are cultivated according to the criteria of organic viticulture.

An extraordinary achievement, the result of a journey that began in 2012, an emblem of a pioneering model that has set the standard and is still a reference point in the national wine scene.

Several factors converge and dialogue together in Panzano: the particularity of the soils that present different morphologies within short spaces such as to sanction great diversity, but also the microclimate and, last but not least, the human factor, an even more variable element that determines important results such as the uniqueness of a wine and its quality.
