Rome Hortus Vini
June 13 @ 18:00 - June 15 @ 22:00

Coming up is the traditional Roma Hortus Vini, a moonlit festival of native grape varieties from Vigneto Italia.
The date, for this sixth edition, is June 13-15, 2025.
The format of past editions has always won over Romans and tourists who had the chance to take a moonlit stroll, goblet in hand, with unlimited tastings of wines from native grape varieties in one of the capital’s most beautiful gardens, in Trastevere.
Once again this year Roma Hortus Vini will give access to the Trastevere Botanical Garden, which is exceptionally open in the evening. The Vigneto Italia is Italy’s first Ampelographic Museum, which houses more than 155 varieties of cultivars from all regions of Italy in a dedicated area within the Botanical Garden of Rome.
Visitors will be able to taste a selection of the Best Italian Wines produced purely from the processing of native grape varieties. There will be more than 100 exhibiting companies in free tasting. An exploratory journey through Italian grape varieties, creativity and the ability of individual producers to enhance their organoleptic characteristics. Also, tastings guided by sensory analyst Luca Maroni, street food, music, soap bubble show for the little ones and an artistic performance by Michele La Ginestra.
Roma Hortus Vini is conceived by Luca Maroni, together with Museo Orto Botanico – Sapienza University of Rome and Francesca Maroni, in collaboration with Vivai Cooperativi Rauscedo. The official website is www.romahortusvini.com
