The Valtènesi Consortium celebrates the grape harvest with the 24th edition of Profumi di Mosto, a journey to discover a unique territory among winery visits, flavors and landscapes

The Valtènesi Consortium

The guardian of authentic rosé in Italy, the Valtènesi Consortium represents one of the most identifiable and refined expressions of our wine scene. Set in the DOC Riviera del Garda Classico, this sub-area boasts a centuries-old tradition that began in 1896 with Senator Molmenti, who first codified the rosé technique. Here, between lake and hills, wine is culture, identity and aesthetic research. Thanks to the unique microclimate of Lake Garda, the Valtènesi is the northernmost area in Europe where olives and lemons grow. Since 2010 the subzone has been officially recognized, consecrating its role as the home of authentic rosé. Today the consortium brings together 102 producers, mostly independent winemakers, custodians of a short and sustainable supply chain, who preserve the gentle, pioneering vision of their origins every day.

The 24th edition of Scents of Must

Great expectations are high for the 24th edition of Profumi di Mosto, the widespread event celebrating the grape harvest through a unique itinerary among wines, flavors and landscapes in Valtènesi. A journey on the Brescia side of Lake Garda among twenty-five wineries that will open their doors. A journey then to discover an extraordinary territory, where the Mediterranean microclimate meets hills and villages suspended between lake and sky. On the hills between Desenzano and San Felice del Benaco, through the inland municipalities (Calvagese, Bedizzole and Puegnago) and the coastal ones (Moniga, Manerba and Padenghe), guests will be taken on an experiential tour to discover the wines produced mainly with the native Groppello and Tuchì grape varieties.

At each winery, participants will find three wines for tasting, paired with a gastronomic sample designed to enhance their aromas and identity. It will be possible to freely construct one’s own itinerary or be guided by one of the three-stage thematic tours, designed to tell the story of the different souls of Valtènesi, from the views of the lake to the hills of the hinterland. Nine tours, each with unique features reflecting the identities of the wineries.

Oct. 19 special day at the House of Wine

The 2025 edition also reserves an exclusive appointment. Those who buy a ticket for 2 wineries or a three-stage tour will have access to the special day on October 19 at the Casa del Vino, where all the labels of the Valtènesi appellation will be on tasting. A unique opportunity to learn more about the wines that best tell the story, memory and identity of this noble and profound land.

Participating in Profumi di Mosto means having an authentic sensory experience. The scents of must and wine blend with the flavors of gastronomic tradition, in the unique atmosphere of the grape harvest among hills and glimpses of Lake Garda.
