Trani – Rosati in Rosati Land

“Rosati in Rosati’s land” doubles: in Trani from September 5 to 7 the second stage of the 27th edition
After last July’s success in Lecce, the kermesse ” Rosati in Terra di Rosati,” now in its 27th edition and organized by theAssociazione Buona Puglia – Gusto da visitare in collaboration with Città del Gusto Gambero Rosso Lecce and under the patronage of the Puglia Region, moves to the north of the region in September. It is in fact in Trani, in the evocative setting of the Monastery of Colonna that the second stage of the event dedicated to rosé wines will take place.
The format dedicated to the region’s best rosé wines Sept. 5-7 will arrive in Trani. Also in this second stage there will be 100 rosé wines for tasting. In the spaces dedicated to food, we will see 100 chefs and cooks at work preparing traditional recipes, gourmet dishes and delicacies each evening to delight the palates of visitors and those who love good food and the excellent Apulian rosés.
The Event
Also in Trani “Rosati in Terra di Rosati” in addition to the rosés with their 100 shades of rosé, the chefs will return , many who were already present in the Lecce stage to which are added chefs from the province of Bari and Bat. Numerous wineries will be present inside the Monastero della Colonna with their wines that will be served during the free and “blind” tastings, and wine lovers will be able to taste them at the tasting tables accompanied by AIS Puglia sommeliers. In addition to the wines being tasted, the Tranese stage will also see the return of the Producers’ Market, the main players in the well-established Buona Puglia Food Festival. And also in this second stage, those who wish can make a stop at the Oil Bar, and participate in the free tasting of extra virgin olive oils, as well as the tasting of food and typical products with dedicated tickets. After the success of the first stage in Lecce, the workshops, cooking shows and Masterclasses organized together with AIS Puglia and Donne del Vino – Delegazione Puglia with two well-known Apulian sommeliers also return for this second stage.
Rosati Masterclass
Masterclasses on rosés will be conducted by Carmine Galasso, Best Sommelier of Puglia 2023, and Titti Dell’Erba sommelier Ais Lecce and Donna del Vino Puglia.
Wine Categories
Nine Categories: Aglianico, Bombino Nero, Malvasia Nera di Brindisi and Lecce, Montepulciano, Negroamaro, Primitivo di Manduria, Primitivo di Gioia, Susumaniello and Uva di Troia. People will be able to vote for their favorite rosé, and the one that registers the most preferences will receive the audience prize. Each wine has its own characteristics, each grape variety brings with it all those distinctive and recognizable traits of different terroirs. From the Gargano to the Valle d’Itria, from the Murgia to the Salento, not forgetting the Taranto area, letting yourself be delighted by a hundred different wines and choosing your favorites will be a very hard choice. A challenge between the best rosés and iconic grape varieties of Puglia.
Good Puglia Food Festival
Along with the “Rosati in the land of Rosati” tastings, the Buona Puglia Food Festival, the festival featuring Puglia’s local products, true excellences of our region’s agri-food industry, authentic expressions of meticulous work carried out by producers attentive to good practices and sustainability, returns for this second leg of its 27th edition as well. These will be the raw materials of the gourmet dishes prepared by chefs arriving from all Italian regions who will alternate for all three evenings in groups of 10 to 20 professionals. A large brigade that will work in unison to enhance, in each and every dish, the fragrance, taste and organoleptic properties of each product. This is also the spirit and goal of Buona Puglia, an association of restaurateurs, hoteliers, chefs and producers. Created to select and put together under one distinctive identity the best there is in the region in the field of gastronomy and hospitality. In fact, today more than ever, tourists do not choose a destination just for the desire to discover unusual places, but they design a travel itinerary that leads them to discover new tastes and authentic flavors, those that only quality local productions can offer.
Events and Tastings
Each evening it will be possible to taste the dishes of 100 chefs, among the best in Italy, and thus take a journey across the boot with many special and tasty dishes prepared by renowned chefs who will work alongside the cooks of tradition. Paired with each dish will be the star rosé of the evening. It will be possible, therefore, to participate in several evenings tasting different dishes paired with different rosés. From appetizers to first courses to desserts, the chefs will take turns in preparing delicious dishes. Chefs Francesco Leone with his Insalatina di lenticchie di Altamura (Altamura lentils salad), Dino Perrone with his special Insalata russa (Russian salad), Simone Palazzo with his Soft octopus, grano arso and potato mousse, Celso Laforgia with his Spaghetti all’Assassina (Spaghetti with Assassin’s sauce) will be at the stove. Then again chefs Gigi Rana, Savino Pedico, Davide di Chio, Nicola Stella, Giovanni Cifarelli, Antonio De Rosa, Antonio Pellegrino, Francesco Esposito, Mirko Esposito, Gabriele Piscitelli, Antonio Guerriero, Maria Santamaria, Salvatore Riontino and many others.
Thanks to the participation of Ego Food Festival, pizza chefs will also return with a corner dedicated to pizza. Tradition and innovation also in the pizzas that will be prepared by the pizza chefs present from September 5 to 7.
Manufacturers’ Market
“Rosati in Rosati Land” and “Buona Puglia Food Festival,” two parallel events celebrating the excellence of local productions. They will give guests the chance to also meet producers directly, buy typical products and delicacies from those who are rightfully recognized as the Artisans of authentic taste. They will be able to peek among the tasting stalls of the Buona Puglia Food Festival’s Producers’ Market where they will be able to freely enter, but also purchase a ticket for tastings of the food prepared by the chefs. The Producers’ Market aims to be a true ethical market. It will be possible not only to meet the producer but also to buy the products on display. From cold cuts to cheeses, eggs to meats, wines to extra virgin oils, jams to preserves and sweets.
Gala Dinner
On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in an exclusive location, at the conclusion of the Tranese stage of the event dedicated to rosés, will be held The Great Rosé Dinner. Tradition and Stars in Masseria, by Puglia’s top 10 chefs will present signature dishes paired with the rosés that will be awarded on the occasion.
