SOL2EXPO, new international olive oil event at Veronafiere

SOL2EXPO – a full olive experience, the international olive oil show, is preparing to debut as an independent exhibition from March 2 to 4, 2025 after 28 editions in conjunction with Vinitaly.

Veronafiere’s new format is distinguished by an exhibition proposal that involves not only olive oil, but also technologies, processing equipment and cosmetics, enriching itself through a product offering designed to meet the needs of both b2b and b2c audiences.

The opening day Doemnica March 2 will be open to the public-with the aim of consolidating and increasing its positioning, including commercial, in an international perspective.

One of the main innovations will involve a focus on by-products of the olive oil supply chain. Indeed, industry studies indicate that only 15 percent of an olive’s weight is exploited commercially, while the remainder remains waste material. However, olive leaves, pomace and vegetation waters represent a business opportunity due to their properties, which are particularly in demand in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic sectors.

Sol² Expo responds to these market needs by introducing new product classes from the olive oil supply chain (special oils for Horeca, nutritional oils, products for cosmetics and wellness, food products for horeca and super horeca, and artisanal extra virgin oils), products for cosmetics and wellness, as well as advanced technologies for production and packaging, with an outdoor area dedicated to machinery.

Italy, with more than 400 unique cultivars in the world, represents an invaluable resource for oil production, and Sol² Expo aims to enhance this wealth by providing a reference platform for the excellence of extra virgin olive oil and food products linked to the territories.
