Bosco de’ Medici

In Pompeii, on the edge of the archaeological site, the winery run by the Palomba and Monaco families produces wines from indigenous varieties, from soils located close to the volcano, with enological advice from Vincenzo Mercurio. The story begins in the 1970s when grandfather Raffaele dedicated himself to the care of those vineyards, without commercial ambitions, but out of pure passion. The vineyard strengthened the bond between the two families, until in 1996 Gaetano Palomba (Raffaele’s son) and Franco Monaco decided to found the winery.
