22 months in first- and second-passage French oak tonneaux.
An ‘excellent vintage in every respect, fresh but still bright.
Color with many purplish highlights, a bit more concentrated.
Very spicy on the nose, both from grapes and wood, perhaps a little less fruit.
In the mouth there is more acidity, there is less alcoholic softness, less tannin.
Extremely flavorful, it is drinkable even now.
Less rich, but really enjoyable.
