“Wines for the Summer 2025” has arrived

Vini per l'Estate 2025 by DoctorWine - editoriale

To start the summer with the right glass, there is only “uncorking” the new edition of “Wines for Summer” by DoctorWine. It is also a way to try not to think only about the problems the wine world is going through right now.

At a time of great concern, I would like to try to downplay, as much as possible, by talking to you about something light and pleasant. Moreover, at the same time as the release of our paperback Wines for the Summer 2025 which, without false modesty, I think turned out very well. More than 200 wines reported, a very attractive layout, and a really user-friendly format. It is true, when a book comes out whoever produced it is always a little proud, and I am no exception, even though I have seen hundreds of books being born.

Returning to the “light” theme, wines for summer are pleasant, easy drinking, almost always with prices that won’t melt the credit card. Many are made from traditional grapes, and among those we have suggested there are indeed many. Falanghine, Vermentini, Verdicchi, Arneis, Grechetti. Then the reds, Sangiovesi, Ciliegioli and many others. Yes, I have written them in plural, as one should not do for proper names; so before anyone points it out I am pulling my own ears.

However, I assure you, the selection we made contains a lot of delicious wines, suitable for the summer period and able to make us spend some time as carefree as possible. Beyond the dramatic problems that are before everyone’s eyes, and also the difficult time for the wine world, with duties and various crises threatening it. In short, let’s enjoy these wines and also enjoy this very hot summer.

Just as the wines were enjoyed by the enthusiasts who came to the book presentation, which took place last Saturday on the Ronchi (MS) waterfront in Palmo Mare. Basically, North Versilia. With the selection of wines featured in the guide, attendees enjoyed a light aperitif served directly on the sea and enjoy the sunset. The atmosphere was relaxed and convivial, perfect for discovering new wines to chill.

We will remember it wistfully when it gets very cold.
