Bollicine Wine Fest: the bubbly event, which will take place Dec. 7 from 4 to 10 p.m. at the beautiful Villa Piccolomini in Rome.

A journey through sparklink wines of all kinds

The event offers a comprehensive exploration of the world of sparkling wines: more than 70 wineries will be present to have their labels tasted, including classic, Martinotti, ancestral and with indigenous grape varieties.

It’s not just Italian bubbly: there will also be foreign representatives, with champagnes from small French vignerons and Spanish cava.

Italian wineries include prestigious names such as Berlucchi and Castello di Gussago, but also emerging or regional realities of great quality (Lazio, Sicily, Friuli, Puglia and many others). In addition, “Sicilia in Bolle,” a historic event dedicated to Sicilian sparkling wines, will be present, traveling to Rome to have the best of the island’s sparkling wines tasted.
The North is not to be outdone: the Friuli DOC Consortium brings a large representation of historic event dedicated to Sicilian sparkling wines, will be present, traveling to Rome to have the best of the island’s sparkling wines from the Northeast.

Buy, taste, toast … and take home your bubbly

Bollicine Wine Fest is also designed as an exhibition-market: not only tastings, but the possibility to buy bubbles for the holidays. Included in the entrance ticket is a €5 purchase voucher, to be used directly among the wineries present.

There will also be a food area with selected gastronomic specialties that pair perfectly with the sparkling wines being tasted for a complete sensory experience.

The choice of Villa Piccolomini as a location is not accidental: it is an elegant site, just a short walk from St. Peter’s, nestled in a refined setting but with ample parking, ideal for accommodating an audience that loves good drinking.
