Coconut…Wine 2025

September 5, 2025 @ 18:30 - September 7, 2025 @ 19:00

Cocco…Wine 2025: One of the tastiest and most attended food and wine events in Piedmont is now in its 24th year.

Cocconato will thus be transformed into a virtual wine road, where wine tastings will alternate with typical local products, filling the town’s historic center and hosting the wineries of Cocconato and Monferrato.

A successful formula that is renewed in each edition and promotes multiple factors: the enhancement of places (the landscape of Cocconato, the historic center to walk through), gastronomic tradition (typical products such as robiola di Cocconato, many taste venues in and around the village), and wine with a parterre of wineries that team up in the local consortium and open the doors of the event to other wineries in Piedmont.

The new edition of the event returns from Friday, September 5 to Sunday, September 7, 2025. New for the 2025 edition is the new schedule: the event expands the time on Sunday, which will start at 11:00 am. For Saturday, the start is scheduled for 4:00 pm.

The Consortium Cocconato Riviera del Monferrato

The association Go Wine promotes and organizes the event in agreement with the City of Cocconato and the Cocconato Riviera del Monferrato Consortium.

Thus, the wineries associated with the local consortium, created a few years ago to promote the wineries in the Cocconato d’Asti (At) area, and artisans of taste that enhance local products will be present. An ambitious project to team up and give more strength to the potential that Cocconato expresses with its territory and its historical vocation for taste.

The Wine Islands:

Rounding out the offerings will be many wineries from Piedmont and Italy

The Wine Islands represent a tradition of Cocco…Wine.
They were conceived under the sign of comparison with wines from other regions and enrich the offer for the benefit of wine lovers who have always appreciated this formula.
There are three themes of the Wine Islands of the 2025 edition: wines of Sardinia, heroic wines and Alta Langa.

The typical products, the flavors of the territory

Cocconato has always been a town with a high wine and food vocation and a village of taste; there are many restaurants in the historic center and surrounding countryside.
In the name of hospitality, which is a tradition here and brings many tourists and curious people to visit this corner of Monferrato every year. So not only wine!

Since the first edition, the Cocco…Wine event has also been a showcase for typical local products, highlighting local artisans of taste and some guests who participate in the event each year.
Today the Cocconato Riviera del Monferrato Consortium leads this part of the event with some of its associates, while a very active Pro Loco completes the offer by animating in the Cortile del Collegio an open-air catering with traditional dishes.

And again during the event the initiative Walk the Village of Cocconato.

The 2025 edition of Cocco…Wine enriches its program by inviting the general public of the kermesse, to a special event, to alternate with the many tastings along the Via del Gusto in Via Roma.
“Camminare il Borgo” is an initiative designed to enhance and raise awareness of Cocconato d’Asti through a guided walk in the heart of the historic center, in the upper part.
A path that allows you to discover, step by step, the architectural, cultural and landscape heritage of the upper part of one of the most fascinating villages in Piedmont.
During the tour it will be possible to admire historic buildings, Gothic arcades, churches and panoramic views, in a perfectly preserved urban setting. The tour takes place entirely in the pedestrian center and allows visitors to learn more about the history and identity of the town, with references to its agricultural and food and wine vocation.
“Walk the Village” aims to be an accessible experience for all, designed to combine culture, discovery and enhancement of the area.

Days and times of the initiative: always meeting at Statute Square.

  • Saturday, September 6, 5:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.
  • Sunday, September 7, 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Each route, lasting about 45 minutes, will end at the outdoor area of Locanda Martelletti where the Wine Island related to Eroic Viticulture will be in operation.

“Il Salotto”

On Friday, September 5, the traditional preview of the event will take place with “Il Salotto di Cocco…Wine,” a moment dedicated to the table with the flavors and wines of the wineries of the Consortium Cocconato Riviera del Monferrato. Here each winery will present a wine of the heart in a special wine bar. The wines will be paired with dishes designed for the occasion by Cocconato restaurateurs.

The wines presented at the “Salon” will create an exclusive tasting.

Also on Friday at 6:30 p.m., there will be a guided in-depth tasting of Cocconato’s Barbera d’Asti Superiore, reserved for press and professional operators (for accreditation requests, send an email to stampa.eventi@gowinet.it).
