The Producers 3 Stars 2026

The new 3 stars DoctorWine 2026

In addition to the rating of wines in cents, with facsimiles graphically representing the awards, there is also a system of rating wineries from zero to three stars in The Essential Guide to the Wines of Italy. Of course, 3 stars is the maximum.

The stars constitute an overall assessment of the winery, not directly related to the wines presented and rated in the current edition of the guide, but linked to other parameters. The importance of the brand, first of all, its emblematicity in the territory to which it belongs. Then its path over the past decades, quality reliability and international image.

The producers in the guide who have the maximum three-star rating this year are 137 throughout Italy, with 10 new entries: Ettore Germano in Piedmont; Carpineto, Castello di Ama, Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari Tenute, Il Marroneto, Montevertine, Rocca delle Macìe Famiglia Zingarelli in Tuscany; Tenute Chiaromonte in Puglia; and Passopisciaro and Girolamo Russo in Sicily.
