In Fermo, during the Tipicità Festival the national award was given to the dynasties of Italian taste. Under the patronage of Masaf, the first awards were given to six “Families of Food” who, for generations, have been guarding and spreading Italian gastronomic culture throughout the world.
During the 2026 edition of the Tipicità Festival the first awards were presented for the “Families of Food-A Heritage of Humanity” prize established by Italia a Tavola in collaboration with Tipicità and promoted under the patronage of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry.
Purpose of the award
The award was created with the aim of enhancing those family businesses that through at least three generations at the helm of the company, represent a garrison of Italian gastronomic culture, contributing to the protection of production traditions and the spread of our quality in the world.
The awards were presented at the Fermo Forum during a ceremony led by Alberto Lupini, director of Italia a Tavola, who stressed the value of the initiative. “We wanted to launch this award together with Tipicità on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of our newspaper. Food families represent an extraordinary heritage of skills, traditions and identity. They are entrepreneurs who have been working for generations to ensure quality, connection to the territory and cultural value to our gastronomy “.
Tipicità director’s comment
Tipicità director Angelo Serri recalled that “This testimony is also intended to support the path that aims at the full recognition of Italian cuisine as a cultural heritage, enhancing the role of the supply chain that combines agricultural production, processing and catering. The award-winning companies represent some of the most influential realities of the Italian agrifood scene and testify to the central role of family continuity in the development of Made in Italy! “.

Awards were given to: Acetaia Giusti Srl, Antica Corte Pallavicina di Terre Verdi Srl, Antimo Caputo Srl, Dolciaria A. Loison Srl, Erede Rossi Silvio and Salumificio Ciriaci Srl.
The Special Mention
A special mention was also given to theUnione Nazionale Pro Loco d’Italia, represented by President Antonino La Spina, for the role played by the Pro Loco in enhancing gastronomic traditions and promoting local communities through festivals and events that involve thousands of volunteers, producers and citizens each year.
With this initiative Tipicità confirms its vocation to tell and enhance the story of the businesses and communities that guard Italy’s gastronomic heritage, building bridges between tradition, innovation and the future.

Acetaia Giusti – Modena
Founded in 1605, it is the oldest producer of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. Led by the 17th generation of the Giusti family, the company is now an international benchmark in the premium segment, present in nearly 100 countries.
Antica Corte Pallavicina – Polesine Parmense (Parma)
The Spigaroli family is among the main custodians of the tradition of Culatello di Zibello Dop. The restored historic courtyard now houses a relais, Michelin-starred restaurant, farm and aging cellars with thousands of culatellos.
Caputo Mill – Naples
Founded in 1924, it is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of professional flours for pizza makers, bakers and pastry chefs. The Caputo family has contributed to the international spread of Neapolitan pizza culture.
Loison Pastry Chefs – Motta di Costabissara (Vicenza)
Four generations of artisan confectionery. The company, founded in the 1930s, is now led by Dario Loison and distributes its high-end products in more than 70 countries.
Rossi Silvio Heir – Sefro (Macerata)
Founded in 1947, it has become one of Europe’s leading players in trout farming and marketing. The company now has numerous production facilities and an integrated supply chain.
Ciriaci Salumificio – Ortezzano (Fermo)
Historic Marche company founded in 1937, now led by the third generation of the family. Produces traditional cured meats with an integrated 100% Italian supply chain and a strong focus on sustainability.
National Union of Pro Loco of Italy – Special Mention
Recognition of the role of Pro Loco in protecting gastronomic traditions and promoting local communities through events, festivals and cultural initiatives spread throughout the country.
