It originates at the foot of Monte Rosa, has a very low mineral content, and is sold exclusively in glass bottles. Acqua Valverde has built its identity around the Valsesian spring and the design by Matteo Thun, targeting primarily the restaurant industry.
Water, too, has an origin, a composition, and a role to play. Valverde originates in Valsesia, in the village of Alpe Argnaccia, at an elevation of 703 meters. The spring is located within the Sesia Val Grande Geopark, recognized by UNESCO for its geological heritage. This connection to the mountains is the starting point for the brand’s story, which is now present on tables in restaurants, bars, and hotels.
Very low mineralization
Valverde belongs to the category of minimally mineralized waters. The fixed residue is around 45–47 mg/L, a value that indicates a low concentration of dissolved mineral salts. The press kit also notes a low sodium content. These characteristics explain the light profile that makes this water ideal for serving with meals.
In wine tasting, water serves a simple yet useful purpose: it accompanies the food and allows you to return to your glass after each sip. In this context, Valverde aims fora subtle presence, consistent with its low mineral content. It is available still, sparkling, and lightly sparkling, allowing both the server and the drinker to choose the option that best suits the meal.
Glass and the Shape of Water
Valverde is bottled exclusively in glass. The product line includes returnable and non-returnable bottles in various sizes. The availability of returnable bottles is an attractive feature for the foodservice industry, although the overall environmental impact depends on collection, washing, and transportation distances.
Clear bottle was Designed by Matteo Thun. Its clean lines, gentle curve, and silver label give it a distinctive identity without overpowering the table setting. This choice effectively conveys Valverde’s positioning: a water that brings its origin to the table and entrusts the bottle’s design with the task of showcasing it.
