Statements from the new president
“The legacy I am picking up,” declares Giovanni Minetti. is important, and for this reason the great work done on the appellation by those who preceded me represents a great responsibility. It has been a work of progressive growth, both quantitatively and qualitatively, as well as of enhancement of an extraordinary product, destined to represent in an increasingly significant way the Piedmontese wine heritage. A wine that gathers the precious legacy of the past (Piedmont was the birthplace of Italian sparkling wine in the second half of the 19th century) and that also represents, in its development, a relevant element of redemption for territories that had been marginalized and that instead present characters of absolute extraordinariness. As we had thought since the origins of the Denomination, more and more we will have to work to make Alta Langa DOCG a strategic and representative product of the high quality of the Piedmontese wine scene “.
