The Lungarotti Company
Founded in the 1960s by Giorgio Lungarotti, who literally invented Torgiano wines, the winery is a true jewel of Umbria. Since his death in 1999, the winery has been firmly in the hands of his daughter Chiara, who has continued the work with great skill. In 2001 an estate in Montefalco, which is totally certified organic, was added to the property. The production is vast and maintains consistently exceptionally high standards of quality, suffice it to mention the always stratospheric estate cru, Vigna Monticchio, wines made with the brilliant advice of Lorenzo Landi.
