Radici del Sud 2026: coming up June 3-8, the Southern Italy Native Grapevine Wine Show.

From June 3 to 8, 2026, one of the most important events dedicated to wine in the South of Italy returns: the XXI edition of Radici del Sud, the show that for more than 20 years has been chronicling, enhancing and promoting the indigenous grape varieties and productions of excellence in Southern Italy.

This year’s event will once again take place in the picturesque setting of theformer Paolo Cassano Distillery in Gioia del Colle, in the province of Bari, which has now become the beating heart of an event that attracts journalists, buyers, importers and trade operators from all over the world.

Radici del Sud is not simply a wine show: it is a major cultural project that over the years has helped redefine the narrative of southern wine, focusing on identity, biodiversity and territory.

In fact, the absolute protagonists will be the native grape varieties of Southern Italy-from Puglia to Campania, from Sicily to Basilicata, passing through Calabria, Abruzzo, Molise and Sardinia-told through tastings, competitions, B2B meetings, seminars and in-depth moments dedicated to the press and international operators.

The schedule of the six-day event:

The program of the 2026 edition will unfold over six busy days.

• From June 3 to 5, the traditional tours in the territories will be organized, immersive experiences designed to accompany journalists and importers to discover the wineries and wine areas of southern Italy.
• On June 6 and 7, professional activities will get into full swing with competition sessions dedicated to wines from indigenous grape varieties and B2B meetings between producers, buyers and industry professionals.
• Grand finale on Monday, June 8, with the open day for the public: first the conference awarding the best wines of Southern Italy, then the tasting counters dedicated to the wines and oils of Southern Italy, where it will be possible to meet producers directly and taste hundreds of labels representative of the enormous wine heritage of the South.
• The final evening also promises one of the most anticipated moments of the entire event: the tasting counter of the winning wines of the 2026 edition accompanied by dishes created by Apulian chefs, in a continuous dialogue between wine, cuisine and Mediterranean culture.

At a time when Italian wine is increasingly looking at territorial identity and the enhancement of historical varieties, Radici del Sud continues to be a privileged observatory for understanding the evolution of the great wine mosaic of southern Italy.
