Very hot and rainfall-free year with spring frosts. Relief irrigation was necessary for the first time. Poor harvest but excellent quality.
80% Sangiovese, 20% between Cabernet Sauvignon and Colorino. Matures in tonneau 18-24 months.
Dense ruby red. Despite the scorching vintage, the olfactory profile is fresh; there is yes plum jam and berry fruit, but also mentholated notes, myrtle and reminiscent of the after-eight. Full and energetic mouthfeel, rich in acidity, with velvety and elegant tannins, the finish balanced and saline.
