Vinacria – Ortigia Wine Fest

Vinacria, 2nd Edition: On Nov. 23 and 24, 2025 at the Old Market in Ortigia, wine returns Pop
After the great success of its debut in 2024, Vinacria – Ortigia Wine Fest, the event dedicated to the wines, oils and culinary excellence of Sicily, returns to Syracuse. A cenacle dedicated to Sicilian wine with one day dedicated to trade professionals and one to the general public
The appointment is for Nov. 23 and 24, 2025 at the Antico Mercato di Ortigia, in the heart of the historic center of Syracuse, where producers, experts, enthusiasts, and taste travelers will meet to celebrate an authentic tale of Sicilian wine.
The exhibition will be spread over two days:
- Sunday, November 23, dedicated to the general public with tasting booths and informative talks
- Monday, Nov. 24, reserved for industry professionals, buyers and the press to foster opportunities for exchange and new professional collaborations.
Conceived and organized by Giada Capriotti, president of Vinacria Association, in collaboration with Kiube Studios, the fair was born as a cultural project capable of combining storytelling, experience and education. After a first year that recorded an extraordinary adhesion of public and institutions with more than 2,500 attendees, Vinacria is preparing for a new edition with more than 80 producers (including wine, oil, spirits and national and international distributions) confirming itself among the most anticipated food and wine events in the Italian wine world.
This year the theme chosen is POP – Popular, accessible, inclusive, authentic – with the aim of bringing wine back to its original dimension: that of a universal language, capable of uniting people and cultures, in perfect line with the trends that are depopulating, even among a younger audience. Vinacria chooses to overcome the barrier of the elite to give wine back its popular voice, making it the protagonist of a simple, direct and engaging narrative. Wine as a collective heritage, as a tool for dialogue and identity.
As Giada Capriotti, president of the Vinacria Association, explains, this second edition grows in participation and content, with new areas dedicated to oils, spirits and realities of national distribution. Vinacria confirms itself not only as a wine festival, but as a
Data from the 2025 edition
The 2025 edition will welcome over eighty wine, oil and spirits producers from all over Sicily, joined by some “overseas” presences that will enrich the comparison of territories and traditions.
These are joined by 6 masterclasses-five dedicated to wine and one to extra virgin olive oil-designed to offer moments of in-depth study led by oenologists, sommeliers and communicators of national and international prominence.
In addition to its enological soul, Vinacria presents itself as a true laboratory of culture and inclusion. It will involve students, restaurateurs and local operators, transforming Ortigia into a widespread festival of taste. The festival will also address social issues such as inclusion and the fight against violence, confirming itself as a community project that unites people and territory. Included in the calendar of the European Region of Gastronomy 2025, Vinacria is now a bridge between tradition and the future.
So two days of authentic emotions, flavors and stories await you, where the goblet becomes a symbol of a living, shared and ever-evolving identity.
