The widespread resort, in the heart of Tuscany, reopened March 23 with a brand new wellness concept by RAKxa, two new Villas and a gourmet restaurant in the medieval village.

is ready to welcome guests with a number of new features. This spring, in fact, marks the culmination of the extensive renovation project that began in 2022 and has resulted in a widespread resort unique, where a contemporary hotel design sits alongside elegant villas set in an estate of more than 1,100 hectares of gardens, forests, vineyards and olive groves.

An oasis of well-being

Castelfalfi’s newest spa becomes RAKxa Wellness Spa, the first European address of the award-winning RAKxa Integrative Wellness brand.. Born in Thailand, RAKxa blends age-old therapies and knowledge with contemporary know-how in creating customized programs. For Castelfalfi, he has developed a series of sleep-enhancing and stress-relieving treatments and packages that will be fulfilled in the 1,500-plus-square-meter spa. Among the wellness spaces: seven treatment rooms, two saunas, Turkish bath, relaxation area and indoor and outdoor heated infinity pool with views of the surrounding hills. Experienced therapists, a new hydrotherapy suite designed to promote relaxation, and a carefully designed, customized menu support RAKxa’s core principles for balancing the body and mind.

Rooms for all tastes

The 146 rooms (115 in the main building and 31 in the historic Tabaccaia), spa, common areas, bars, restaurants, and seven villas scattered around the estate have continued the “
redesign
” radical redesign begun three years ago by Affine Design, Caberlon Caroppi e Henry Chebaane.

In the main hotel, four new spacious Signature Suites by Affine Design, which opened last season, feature sumptuous wood finishes, custom fabrics, and private outdoor lounges. Precious decorations and endless views of the Tuscan gardens and hills add an extra touch of magic.

A springtime of news in Castelfalfi, the first of the new luxury villas within the historic village also opened in March. Designed by Raed Abillama, Medici House is an 18th-century villa that has been completely renovated in a contemporary key, with three bedrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows for total immersion with the outdoor nature of the Medici park, dining room, kitchen, living room, and a private botanical garden. Second new villa planned La Pergola Casale opposite Il Rosmarino restaurant, with spectacular views of the Tuscan landscape.

The gastronomic offerings

Castelfalfi’s gastronomic journey, led by Executive Chef Davide De Simone, is further enhanced this year with the dinner-only reopening of the gourmet restaurant La Rocca. Located inside the medieval castle, it offers a menu of Mediterranean meat and catch that can also be enjoyed, in the milder season, on tables set on the terrace.

Castelfalfi’s gastronomic offerings are completed with the
restaurant Olivina, inside the hotel, created by Henry Chebaane. Designed as a modern bistro with an open kitchen; the Ecru Bar with international offerings and signature cocktails for special aperitifs. The Blue Lily Pool Bar with a light menu

For a lunch or aperitif by the pool. La Country Clubhouse, overlooking the 27-hole golf course, open from breakfast to happy hour. Finally, The Rosemary, with local recipes and pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven.

More than 40 outdoor and indoor experiences available at Castelfalfi: bushcraft, truffle hunting and harvesting, yoga, tennis, padel, hiking, cycling and e-biking, golf, archery.

L’farm certified organic supervised by Diego Mugnaini, with more than 25 hectares of vineyards, produces six wines in collaboration with Tuscan wine expert Emiliano Falsini, oil and honey. The garden supplies raw materials to the restaurants, flanked by a careful selection of Tuscan producers.

Castelfalfi is an ancient settlement of Etruscan origin developed on a 1,100-hectare estate between Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra and the Livorno coast.

Acquired in the summer of 2021 by Sri Prakash Lohia, ushered in a new spring of novelties in Castelfalfi. The spring of news at Castelfalfi continues with the major estate renovation project begun in 2022 under the banner of major developments. The goal is to further raise the standards of service and supply.
