Campocori is an elegant restaurant that expresses international cuisine with some concessions to Roman tradition-a diverse and accessible venue within the Hotel Chapter.
In the center of Rome, a ten-minute walk from the Pantheon, inside the brand new Hotel Chapter, for almost two years now this elegant restaurant, at whose helm we find the young Alessandro Pietropaoli, executive chef of Abruzzese origins, who has emblazoned experience in multi-starred Italian restaurants and also abroad, notably in France. His cooking reflects this training and also contamination, in the discreet use of spices and references to Eastern cuisine.
A Roman-international experience

Pietropaoli expresses an international cuisine, of exquisite French tradition, while not denying his own family origins and tastes and training. Operating in Rome, it marks the territory with traditional hints, scattered here and there in the various dishes on the menu; or by offering the Spaghetto Antica Roma, where onion reigns supreme in its many textures. But, above all, find the sublime Goose Liver Terrine with eel fillet cooked thirty hours; or the Beef Crudo with miso and coffee. Very distinctive and assertive in taste, due to its obvious citrus notes, is the Risotto with Mountain Pine and Frog Legs; while a dish where there is no meat but only Celeriac, walnuts and pomegranate is surprising and meaty. Pigeon with pumpkin and tamarind is also delicious, while, to close, he returns to surprise us with a Ricotta and red beet dessert! Of course to open and close the experience we were brought savory bites and small pastries.
Three tasting menus
Once seated you can opt to go a la carte, or choose from the three tasting menus, of which one is exclusively vegetarian.

As for drinking, the menu has about 160 Italian and foreign labels, a fair number of these also at the chalice. All with a correct markup, without exaggeration. In addition, you can choose between the two routes exclusively by the glass.
Kudos to the service
If you have come this far you will understand that I liked Campocori very much. Do you want for the proposing something different and accessible, than the very good traditional Roman cuisine, but also for the modern and retro decor, as well as for the attentive, friendly and helpful service.
I stayed for three hours for dinner, even chatting with the maître d’ and discussing amiably with the young sommelier on the subject of food and wine pairings.
I am sure that Chef Pietropaoli will only grow, until he reaches the maturity and notoriety that he already deserves in nuce. Just be patient.
