Riccardo Cotarella: Wine, my life

Daniele Cernilli, DoctorWine, con Riccardo Cotarella

Riccardo Cotarella writes an autobiography, delivering to the press memories of his life in the wine world.

Wine, My Life” could only be the title of the autobiography by Riccardo Cotarella, an internationally renowned oenologist, president of Assoenologi since 2013 and consultant to many important wineries around the world, as well as founder, in 1979, together with his brother Renzo, of the Falesco winery, which has now become Famiglia Cotarella and is led by the third generation, namely the Cotarella Sisters, Dominga, Marta and Enrica.

Riccardo Cotarella, after all, has truly dedicated his entire life to wine. For this reason, the book is a passionate and authentic tale that celebrates the deep connection between culture, territory and wine tradition. It takes the reader on a sensory journey to discover the secrets of wine and production techniques, illustrated by one of the leading experts in the field. But it also takes him or her deeper into the history of oenology to learn more about the identity role that wine has played since time immemorial in our country and beyond.

cover of the book Wine my life by Riccardo Cotarella“Il vino, la mia vita” (Rizzoli) will be presented to the public tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 31, at 3 p.m. in the Congress Hall of the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo in Orvieto, in the presence of distinguished guests from the world of wine and culture, including Brunello Cucinelli, Massimo D’Alema and Leonardo Lo Cascio, along with journalist and TV host Bruno Vespa, who in addition to being the author of the preface to Riccardo Cotarella’s book, will for the occasion have the role of moderator of the debate.
