A move involves a lot of things: each object brings with it memories and rekindles particular situations, which will then have to be recontextualized. So many things accumulate over so many years and, in our case, so many bottles, some of which resurface unexpectedly.
We are changing locations and therefore moving. As any of you know, when you do something like this, it is like retracing a part of one’s life. In ten years at Piazza dei Santi Apostoli in Rome, we have transferred documents, part of life and many bottles.
Now we have to take them elsewhere, and so many things reappear almost magically. Books, photos, even bottles left in the cellar and partly forgotten. In our case I would like to mention a Valentini’s 2020 Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, truly outstanding, which I found again, and drank, with great pleasure. Then a 2019 Verdicchio Villa Bucci, a 2017 I Sodi di San Niccolò , surprising, and a Faro Palari from 2019.
Exceptional wines of their kind, which accompanied me, and comforted me, at a time when places and memories are left behind. In a few days we will be elsewhere, with an eye to the future and A new location for DoctorWine.

Starting January 15, we will be in Via Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, 63 – 00193 Rome.
