All bubbles for Emilia

Whether out of curiosity or to discover sparkling wines that are really worth getting to know, don’t miss these 6 Emilian goodies.

As we have repeatedly said, wine Italy offers endless goodies that one must go and discover, or else miss out on really interesting drinks. Today we want to talk about sparkling wines that few people know about (outside of the locals) and that deserve to liven up any party, not least because they cost on average less than other, more emblazoned sparkling wines and instead are very enjoyable. We went to scout them out in Emilia where the bubbly experience can be traced back to Lambrusco.
We start with three sparkling wines for aperitifs or appetizers, two are a cuvée of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and the third a Blanc de Noirs. The first is a truly extraordinary rosé and shows how this area is rightly making its way among Italian sparkling wine areas. The other two are from producers who are beginning to make a name for themselves more for still wines typical of the Colli Piacentini such as Gutturnio or Malvasia than for bubbles, but these sparkling wines are also worth tasting:

Precisely because they are Metodo Classico they cost a bit more, but for the wines to follow we stay within 15 euros, which is always a relief and especially these days.

Now let’s move on to two Lambrusco wines, these unstoppable sparkling/sparkling reds, which are yes the inevitable accompaniment to zampone, cotechino and lentils but also to bolliti & co, another traditional dish not necessarily related to the Christmas season and which, indeed, easily ends up on our tables, especially with these cold weather returns.

We conclude with a sparkling from Malvasia grapes, also a typical Emilian bubbly, which could not be missed in this our roundup.
