Franciacorta – Spring Festival

Franciacorta – Spring Festival: the territory as a food and wine and cultural experience
Franciacorta is hosting the third edition of the Spring Festival, scheduled for Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15, 2026: a weekend that combines culture, food and wine and tradition through a calendar full of initiatives, guiding the public to get to know the area in an authentic and engaging way.
The Festival invites people to explore Franciacorta in its most representative places, from wineries open to the public to historic spaces and gastronomic routes that tell the identity of the area and its link with the past, composing an itinerary that interweaves art, landscape and conviviality.
Three main strands of the 2026 edition: food, culture and wine.
On the gastronomic front, 16 chefs from the area will sign unprecedented interpretations capable of putting the local culinary tradition in dialogue with an exceptional guest: the Marennes Oyster – Oléron IGP, a European excellence chosen as the leitmotif of the 2026 edition. Creations designed exclusively for the Festival will offer a contemporary reading of the encounter between local identity and international raw material, enhancing a pairing, that between oyster and Franciacorta, increasingly appreciated for its balance and elegance. The proposals will be available in local restaurants, drawing a gastronomic itinerary that explores Franciacorta’s culinary heritage through new combinations and interpretations.
The cultural program, on the other hand, will accompany visitors to discover the symbolic places of the area,
through guided tours, narrative itineraries and events hosted in wineries and other historic spaces. An immersive narrative that weaves together history, architecture and traditions, offering an in-depth look at Franciacorta’s cultural heritage. Thanks to the invaluable collaboration with the FAI (Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano) Sebino e Franciacorta Group, this edition will once again feature unprecedented cultural itineraries and extraordinary openings dedicated to the area’s historical-artistic heritage, with visits accompanied by the group to the Historic Center of Erbusco, the Convent Castle and Palazzo Pelizzari in Capriolo, and Palazzo Monti della Corte in Nigoline.
Franciacorta will be the focus of activities dedicated to wine, with tastings, in-depth moments
thematic and cultural initiatives involving 50 wineries in the area. The program will include visits to
winery and appointments designed to tell the story of the different stylistic expressions of Franciacorta. Sensory tastings led by sommelier Artur Vaso, Italy’s second Best
Sommelier of Italy 2025, will be held at the Consortium’s headquarters, and he will take the public on an in-depth tour dedicated to the
distinctive characteristics and pairings of Franciacorta with Oysters Marennes – Oléron IGP
The official opening of the Spring Festival on Thursday, March 12.
The official opening of the Spring Festival will be held. Thursday, March 12 in Brescia at 6 p.m. at Il Teatro
Grande of Brescia, with “The Future of Places. Identity, vision and cultural responsibility,” a public dialogue dedicated to the value of territories as living cultural spaces: not just geographical or productive places, but communities that generate identity, vision and future. The talk aims to explore how territories can become engines of meaning and shared responsibility, capable of combining memory and innovation, roots and planning.
Franciacorta promotes this discussion as an opportunity for broad and transversal reflection, offering its own path as an example of cultural construction and collective vision. The meeting will be moderated by Dario Maltese, journalist and well-known face of television news, who will lead the dialogue between the speakers in a
dynamic and intergenerational confrontation.
The Spring Festival thus confirms Franciacorta’s role as a cultural and landscape laboratory, offering the public an opportunity to come into direct contact with the richness and variety of its historical, artistic and productive heritage.
