100% Vespaiola. Harvest the third week September. Four months of drying in fruit lofts. Pressing in mid-January and fermentation in steel for forty days. One and a half years in French oak barrels, 50% new and 50% second passage. 150 gr/lt sugar. First vintage 1974.
Beautiful bright amber color. Very intense and complex nose with notes of sweet tobacco, dried mango, date, dried apricot against a caramel background. In the last five years a marked change in style, from a sweeter and more baroque version to a more elegant and less sweet one. The undoubted sweetness is balanced by an extraordinary freshness and harmony of taste.
