DESCRIPTION
Cantine del Mare produces not only wines but also emotions. The vines overlooking the Gulf of Naples are on average 80 years old and rooted in fertile soil of volcanic origin, composed of yellow tuff and trachyte, and distributed in small plots planted with native Piedirosso, Falanghina and ancient and rare local grapes. Owner Gennaro Schiano has undertaken for more than a decade the recovery and enhancement of the area’s genetic heritage, engaging not only in viticulture but also in agriculture, growing traditional varieties of fruits, legumes and vegetables in spectacular gardens overlooking Cape Miseno.
