Radici del Sud 2025: Coming up June 4-9 is the Southern Italy Native Grapevine Wine Show, open to journalists, industry professionals and winelovers.

The 20th edition of Radici del Sud, the annual event dedicated to Southern wines and oils, will take place June 4-9, 2025 with many new features. First and foremost is the new venue: the former Distilleria Paolo Cassano in Gioia Del Colle (Ba), listed as a monumental and environmental heritage site by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage since 1992, has recently been renovated and refurbished, becoming more capacious and comfortable, with the aim of becoming a place of active culture, hosting exhibitions, fairs and cultural events in general.

With more producers, it will also be possible to host more expert journalists and operators from all over Italy and abroad. The event will therefore host international journalists and importers, as always, for the annual event that shines an international spotlight on the wine and oil production of Italy’s southern regions, promoting their quality and value through the competition dedicated to wines from indigenous grape varieties, tours of the territories, B2B meetings, tasting counters and cultural insights.

The schedule of the six-day event:

• June 4-6 guests, international journalists and importers, will be accompanied on tours of the territories ;
• June 7 and 8 will be days of closed-door activities dedicated to the Southern Wine Competition and meetings between importers and wine and oil producers from Abruzzo, Molise, Basilicata, Campania, Calabria, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily;
• June 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a conference will be held to award the winning wines of the 20th e,
• June 9 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., open doors to the public of industry professionals and enthusiasts who will meet with wine and oil producers to learn about the new vintages in the winery and mill range.

Another novelty already announced will concern the competition dedicated to wines from indigenous grape varieties of Southern Italy, and in particular the scores, with a wider range of cents than in the past, which will allow more equitable awards. In addition, in the 2025 edition all winners will receive the stamp corresponding to the prize received, to be placed on all bottles produced of the winning label.

Radici del Sud is an event that the association of the same name has promoted every year since 2005, delving passionately and assiduously into the themes and novelties of the southern Italian wine and oil scene. For 2025, the experience of twenty editions, the careful and up-to-date focus on novelties and then, of course, the inimitable charm of the wines and oils of Southern Italy, will return the event to its well-deserved centrality in the panorama of major events on Italian native wines.
