News reached us a short while ago of the untimely death of Alessio Di Majo. The greatest representative of Molise wine has left us. He was 63 years old.
If Molise winemaking is known worldwide much of the credit was due to Alessio Di Majo. His winery in Campomarino is among the greatest interpreters of red wines such as the Montepulciano-based Don Luigi, the Aglianico-based Sassius and the very good Tintilia del Molise. The news of his passing left us dismayed and with great sadness.

The funeral will be held in Campomarino (CB) next Tuesday, April 21, at 11:30 a.m.
Alessio’s dad, Luigi Di Majo, had already left us in 2023 at the age of 94.
