Chianti Lovers & Rosso Morellino 2026: Feb. 19 in Florence preview reserved for the press

Chianti Lovers & Rosso Morellino, the preview event dedicated to the presentation of the new vintages of Chianti D.O.C.G. and Morellino di Scansano D.O.C.G., is back on Feb. 19, 2026, at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, and is included in the official calendar of Tuscany Preview Week.

As was the case in 2025, the 2026 edition will also be exclusively reserved for the Italian and international press, with a format focused on technical tasting. The event will be held with an à la carte sommelier service, without the direct presence of the producers and without the traditional exhibition hall being set up. This choice confirms the desire to offer journalists a concentrated, orderly, and functional sampling context for analyzing the new years due out in 2026.

During the day it will be possible to taste the Chianti DOCG 2025 vintage, the 2024 Chianti Superiore and the 2023 Chianti Riserva, together with the Morellino di Scansano DOCG 2025 season and 2023 Morellino di Scansano Riserva. A central moment to understand the stylistic and qualitative evolution of two denominations different in size and territory, but united by a shared path in promotion and direct dialogue with the consumer.

Chianti Lovers & amp; Rosso Morellino was born from the collaboration between the Chianti Wine Consortium and the Morellino of Scansano Protection Consortium, who chose to join forces in a joint project capable of enhancing the identity, territorial roots, and potential of wine tourism. The Chianti Wine Consortium, founded in 1927, currently represents approximately 3,500 farms on 15,000 hectares of vineyards, while the Morellino di Scansano Consortium, founded in 1992 and renamed DOCG in 2007, has 220 members and 1,500 hectares registered in the appellation, with a significant presence of organic viticulture.
