Breganze – La Vespaiolona, goblets on tour among the wineries of D.O.C. Breganze

La Vespaiolona: Seven years after the last edition, the great traveling wine event dedicated to Vespaiolo wine will return to Breganze on Friday, June 19, between the D.O.C. Breganze wineries and Piazza Mazzini.

The return of the Vespaiolona

There used to be an event in Breganze that celebrated the beginning of summer with the fresh and lively flavor of Vespaiolo wine: the “Vespaiolona,” an event that every year attracted thousands of visitors on an organized tour to discover the wineries of D.O.C. Breganze. After a seven-year hiatus, Breganze is ready for its long-awaited return. On Friday, June 19, 2026, the Vespaiolona will return to the stage with an edition that weaves tradition and territorial revitalization, focusing on a widespread formula of tours and tastings in the wineries, accompanied by a party in the historic center with Piazza Mazzini becoming the heart of the event.

Breganze Wines, “was strongly desired by the territory, the wineries and the municipal administration, aware of the value that this event has been able to generate over the years. We return with an edition that aims first and foremost to be an experience of discovery: of the wineries, of our winemaking identity and of the landscape that characterizes D.O.C. Breganze, a heritage that deserves to be known beyond regional borders. The denomination brings together different realities, often small in size, but with a strong personality. Each winery represents a unique expression of Vespaiolo and the hillside context in which it produces its wines. For this long-awaited return, the wineries will not only offer tastings, but also stories and pairings related to the territory and its local productions.”

If Torcolato represents the meditative soul of the indigenous Vespaiola grape, obtained from its drying in cellar lofts, Vespaiolo D.O.C. Breganze expresses its fresher, more savory character. Over the years it has established itself as one of the territory’s most representative wines, the protagonist of iconic pairings such as baccalà alla vicentina and white asparagus from Bassano. Vespaiolona will offer an opportunity to discover its different interpretations, from still to sparkling versions.

The organizing machine is led by the Consortium for the Protection of D.O.C. Breganze Wines in collaboration with DuePunti Eventi and the Municipality of Breganze. The event will be held from 7 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. (cash desk and music closing at 12:30 a.m.). Dedicated programs, including tastings, food pairings and moments of entertainment, will be offered by the participating wineries: Cantina Beato Bartolomeo Da Breganze, Cantina Zoe, Col Dovigo, Contrà San Felice, Costa del Sole, IoMazzuccato, La Costa, Tenute Fosca, Le Vigne Terre di Confine, Transit Farm, Vitacchio Massimo.

Event organization

A shuttle bus service will provide connections between the center of Breganze and the wineries. Buses will depart from Piazzetta delle Poste for the IoMazzuccato (line 1), Le Vigne Terre di Confine (line 2), La Costa and Tenute Fosca (line 3) wineries. Small trains will depart from Piazza Mazzini for the Col Dovigo and Vitacchio Massimo wineries (line 4). The Beato Bartolomeo Winery on Via Roma, on the other hand, will be within walking distance.

A large tasting area will be set up in Piazza Mazzini by the Costa del Sole, Cantina Zoe, Contrà San Felice and Transit Farm wineries with food offerings and musical entertainment. Access to the wineries and the wine & food tasting area in the square, including the use of buses and small trains, will be allowed only to participants with a kit-pass that can be purchased from Monday, May 11, exclusively on the website https://vespaiolona.ticket4event.it/ (while places are available).

Kit-passes purchased online can be picked up by presenting the booking confirmation voucher on the following days: Tuesday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 17 at the Consortium office at 100 Via Roma in Breganze from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Friday, June 19 from 4:30 p.m. in Mazzini Square.

The Vespaiolona is organized by the Consortium for the Protection of D.O.C. Breganze Wines with DuePunti Eventi, under the patronage of the Veneto Region, the Municipality of Breganze, the Municipality of Sarcedo and the Municipality of Fara Vicentino.
