Pinot Noir 60%, Chardonnay 40%. 7 years on the lees. Gold in the goblet, with wafer-thin bubbles. The nose reveals mouth-watering nuances of ginger and candied citrus alongside perceptions of coffee, nuts and ash. In the mouth, it is broad and very dynamic, thanks to ringing acidity, ascending savoriness and, above all, a subtle bitter smoky sensation that goes a long way toward balancing the sweet toasty undertones of the finish.
