The new president’s statement

I would like to thank the members for the significant trust placed in me and the newly elected board members. The large percentage of members present in the last elections are a strong message of membership in the Consortium – said Giacomo Bartolommei, from today at the head of the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino -. The hope, therefore, is that all members will rediscover in the Consortium an environment conducive to cohesion and working together for the good and development of the area. The current economic environment requires energetic action in terms of promotion and communication – Bartolommei concluded. Our priority will be twofold: to enhance the prestige of our wines and, to strengthen their perception in the market. In parallel with unaltered determination we will continue to protect our brand and appellations.”

Fabrizio Bindocci’s comment on outgoing president

I bequeath to the new president an economically sound consortium that, in 2024, recorded a turnover close to 4.5 million euros, up 4.3 percent from the previous year, and a profit of nearly 627,000 euros allocated to reserves,” commented Fabrizio Bindocci, outgoing president. I am certain that the new governance will be able to face the challenges on the horizon with determination and vision, continuing to invest in the promotion and positioning of the entire quality pyramid expressed by Montalcino wines, starting with its Brunello, which has increasingly become a territorial brand known worldwide.”
