Marchesi De’ Cordano

DESCRIPTION
When Francesco D’Onofrio founded the farm with the first 12 hectares of the historic Santa Caterina estate, he drew inspiration from his grandfather’s farming expertise. The vineyards are located in a hilly area at the foot of the Maiella Mountains, in the Loreto Aprutino region, and are trained using the Abruzzo pergola and low-spurred cordon systems with high planting density (approximately 5,000 vines per hectare) to promote high-quality viticulture. In 2011, the new winery was inaugurated; it is fully integrated into the local landscape and features a spacious tasting room.
