Production at an all-time high, double-digit growth and a fine quality profile: Laudemio closes out 2025 as the best vintage ever in its 37-year history.
Numbers never reached before
The year 2025 officially enters the annals of the Laudemio, the extra virgin olive oil that represents one of the highest expressions of Tuscan olive growing. The harvest, which ended on November 30, resulted in a total production of 232,325 liters, an increase of 23.4 percent over the previous year-the highest figure ever recorded by the Laudemio Consortium Company.
An achievement involving 21 member producers and about 950 hectares of olive groves, the result of a shared effort that focuses on supply chain control, agronomic research and attention to the land.
Quality as a common thread
“Attention to quality throughout the production chain is the value element that distinguishes us,” says Diana Frescobaldi, president of the Società Consortile. A principle that has guided Laudemio since its inception and that in 2025 found a particularly successful synthesis, thanks in part to favorable climatic conditions.
The season was early and mild, with clear benefits especially in the hilly areas, where cooler temperatures favored a balanced ripening of the olives.
Sensory profile: elegance and harmony
Early evaluations describe an intense but balanced extra virgin, characterized by crisp aromas, measured spiciness and a fruity aftertaste reminiscent of freshly pressed olives. A Laudemio that combines aromatic finesse and territorial recognizability, confirming the style that has made it famous.
Strict controls and guaranteed identity
Only oils that pass the examination of a panel of seven tasters accredited by the Italian government can become Laudemio. A rigorous control system that accompanies the product from the plant to the bottle, guaranteeing quality, traceability and identity.
The coordinated image also contributes to reinforcing this concept: the bottle and spill-proof cap, which are identical for all producers, are a distinctive sign immediately recognizable by the consumer.
Italy and foreign markets
Italy remains the main market, with 28 percent of distribution, followed by North America (27 percent),Asia (16 percent) andEurope (12 percent). A growing international presence, built by maintaining increasingly high quality standards.
History and current profile
Laudemio was established in 1989 by Vittorio Frescobaldi, with the aim of relaunching Tuscan olive growing after the serious crisis caused by the 1985 frost. Since then it has become a virtuous model for enhancing the territory, capable of combining tradition, innovation and sustainability.
There are twenty-one producers of Laudemio Extra Virgin Olive Oil, distributed among the provinces of Florence, Arezzo and Siena, and each has its own label with the Laudemio trademark, while the packaging (bottle and cap) is the same for all. They are:
