The story of Giuseppe Montanaro (Peppino) starts way back, from when he was little more than a boy, store boy, with a desire to make and build something of his own. Born in 1940, Montanaro has gone through decades of work and transformation, building his own path step by step.
On July 6, 1984, he founded Kikau, starting an entrepreneurial project that has grown over the years into a solid and recognized reality. But it was in the following years that he broadened his gaze, investing in the territory and imagining something different.
From this vision was born Amastuola, a project that combines wine, landscape (the garden vineyard) and hospitality, and that today carries the name of Puglia around the world through its wines.
He had recounted his own experience in the book “Innovation Made Beauty,” a testimony to a human journey even before the entrepreneurial one.
Daniele Cernilli and the entire editorial staff of DoctorWine extend their sympathies to the family.
