100% Sangiovese. Rather intense ruby-garnet color. Enveloping and slightly ethereal, with notes of cassis, plum, black cherry, over hints of woody and even wet earth and underbrush. A particular note reminiscent of caramelized sugar. Warm and enveloping on the palate, savory, some tannic rippling over a heavier body than in other versions. More powerful and somewhat less elegant, but it comes from a particularly warm vintage.
