In this column we give an account of the month's new restaurant and wine bar openings up and down the peninsula. These are, it should be pointed out, reports and not reviews, as none of us have yet had the opportunity to eat at that particular upcoming establishment. Here follow the new openings of November.
Despite the undeniable crisis in the restaurant industry regarding wait staff and kitchen staff, there remains a great ferment evident in the number of new restaurant openings. Various types are embraced, from gourmet restaurant to trattoria, from pizzeria to ethnic restaurant.
Wide is the price range related to new restaurants, ranging from the cheaper ones, set on traditional cuisine and pizza, to the decidedly higher-end ones, perhaps inside luxury hotels.
Often the guarantee of the quality of the restaurant is the experience of the owner, often the reliability of the chef, often the skills of the manager. But many other factors come into play in determining the success of a restaurant, from location to decor, from parking facilities to the wine list (something we value).
Here’s a chance for you to try new experiences.
The article is updated regularly with reports of new openings that we learn about.

Momenteeria, the first contemporary tea room, is born in Milan.
The first contemporary tea room dedicated to the rituals of happiness. At 38 Via Carducci, a stone’s throw from the basilica of Sant’Ambrogio, a unique place in the city opens, designed to take a quality break, breathe and rediscover the value of slow time through the experience of tea and small gestures of well-being. The name comes from the meeting of “moment” and “teeria”: a new word to describe a home where beauty, care and comfort are naturally intertwined. Every detail-from the service to the design, from the names of the blends to the scents of the environment-is conceived as a small ceremony capable of transforming everyday life into an experience and inviting more mindful living.
The tea list, consisting of about sixty references all purchasable, ranges from fine single-origin teas imported directly from China-certified by the Italian Tea and Infusion Association-to original blends enriched with Italian botanicals. The collection includes pure teas, such as spiral hand-rolled Dian Hong or top-grade Bai Mu Dan, and some very fresh ones from the 2025 harvest, such as the rare Huo Shan Huang Ya, alongside exclusive blends, herbal teas and infusions signed by Italian tea blender Albino Ferri, whose company has been in the business for more than a century. The lunch menu, signed by nutritionist biologist Nicole Labaguer and psychotherapist Antonella Calabrese, is dedicated to mindful eating and is divided into two complementary tracks: Light Lunch and Comfort Food.

Oasis, Milan’s first bar à vin
Between France and Italy, the bar à vin in Porta Venezia that becomes an urban refuge and a space for conviviality, with select glasses and retro-tasting tastings. Milan’s first bar à vin opens in Porta Venezia. Oasis opens a new chapter in its history with a concept that looks to contemporary France and brings to Milan the model of the bar à vin: an informal but neat place that welcomes from lunch until late in the evening, designed for sharing and conviviality. The goal is to give life to an accessible and welcoming space, where one can stop for a quick break, meet for an aperitif, dine on dishes to enjoy with friends or simply have a glass of wine at the counter. An address that wants to become a reference point in Porta Venezia for those seeking authenticity without sacrificing taste and elegance.
The food proposal follows this philosophy: simple, recognizable dishes that invite conviviality. Throughout the day, from 12 noon to midnight, it will be possible to tease with a selection of Les Sardines from “La belle-Iloise,” tartinables and crostini, cured meats and cheeses from Italy and France, escargot, oysters, guinea fowl terrine, Piedmontese fassona tartare served French style, and St. Jacques-style potato gateau reminiscent of the famous scallops that is already one of the symbols of the restaurant. Rounding out the menu are dishes that vary according to season and availability. The idea is to propose a menu that does not force a rigid choice, but accompanies those who want to share small dishes, compose a complete dinner or stop for a bite on the fly.
