100% Sangiovese, aged in 30 hl wood. Deep ruby with dark highlights. Varied nose with the first hints of evolution. Then notes of eucalyptus, camphor, earthy, licorice, ripe fruit and sweet spices. Warm, soft mouthfeel of cinchona, rhubarb and soft tannins for a fairly fresh, medium-long finish. Torrid vintage handled as well as it could have been.
